About membership in the Geological Society
– Members of the Geological Society can be both citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and foreign citizens and stateless persons who recognize the Statutes of the Tian-Shan Geological Society, participate in its activities and regularly pay membership dues.
– Admission to the membership of the Geological Society is carried out on the basis of an individual application, with the recommendation of the members of the Presidium of the Geological Society, at least one member.
– The persons who have made a significant contribution to the development of geology and who provide significant assistance and support to the activities of the Society can be elected as honorary members of the Society.
The honorary members of the Society can also be accepted, in recognition of their special merits, and people who have not previously participated in this organization. Honorary members enjoy privileges established by the Presidium of the Society.
– Admission of citizens to the members of the Society is carried out by the decision of the Presidium of the Society. The decision is taken by a simple majority of votes of the members of the Presidium present at the meeting, by closed or open voting.
Rights, duties and responsibilities of members of the Geological Society
– Members of the Geological Society have the right to:
1) to participate in the management of the Geological Society, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter;
2) to elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the Geological Society;
3) to participate in program activities carried out by the Geological Society;
4) receive the necessary information on the activities of the Geological Society;
5) to submit proposals on the issues of its activity to the management bodies of the Geological Society.
– Members of the Geological Society must:
1) to comply with the Charter;
2) to pay membership dues, the amount and procedure for making which are determined by the members of the Presidium of the Geological Society;
3) to refrain from (illegal) actions that may cause moral and material damage to the legitimate interests of the Geological Society.
4) comply with generally accepted ethical norms and rules
5) to contribute, through his personal, professional and public activities, to raising the prestige and status of a member of the Geological Society;
6) to comply with the provisions of this Charter, the decisions of the governing and controlling bodies of the Geological Society;
– Exclusion from the members of the Geological Society may be made by the decision of its highest governing body – the General Meeting of the members of the Geological Society in the following cases:
1) gross violation or non-compliance with the provisions of this Charter;
2) systematic evasion of membership dues;
3) the commission of offenses entailing criminal liability in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic;
4) on their own.
– Workers of the Geological Society for Labor Relations are subject to the norms of labor legislation, the terms of the labor agreement, and also legislation on social security and social insurance.
About Associate Members of the Geological Society.
– Associated members of the Geological Society may be organizations whose activities coincide with the interests and activities of the Geological Society
– Associated members may also be organizations temporarily involved in projects and events of the Geological Society or organizations that adhere to the main activities of the Geological Society
– Associate members are required to:
1) comply with this Charter;
2) to pay membership dues, the amount and procedure for making which are determined by the members of the Presidium of the Geological Society;
3) to refrain from (illegal) actions that may cause moral and material damage to the legitimate interests of the Geological Society.
4) comply with generally accepted ethical norms and rules
